An accommodation photograph may show a desk and chair, but your work setup includes more than those objects. When exploring Spain from the Netherlands, collect concrete information about the space before calling it suitable. The aim is to prepare questions and a useful description for the responsible organisation or competent adviser, rather than to perform a health assessment from a short visit.

Start with the whole task setup

The Spanish National Institute for Safety and Health at Work, INSST, describes screen work in relation to equipment, furniture, the immediate environment and software. Use that as a reason to look beyond the visible tabletop. List the work you actually need to do and the tools it uses. Keep employer approval, international work arrangements and individual specialist requirements in a separate confirmation list; a room description cannot settle those matters.

Collect factual details about the space

Record dimensions you can measure safely and what equipment is present. Identify whether the furniture can be adjusted according to the provider’s instructions, rather than forcing or changing an unfamiliar mechanism. Note the location of light sources and where equipment would sit. Do not turn observations into a statement that the setup is ergonomically suitable for everyone. Measurements are information for the next discussion, not proof that the whole arrangement is appropriate.

Describe the task without sensitive material

Use a harmless sample activity to explain how you would use the equipment, if a trial is permitted. Leave confidential work files out of photographs and personal relocation notes. A picture of the desk can show relevant physical details without displaying client information or access credentials. Ask your organisation how any necessary workspace information should be supplied. Keep your own comfort observations separate from the professional conclusions someone qualified may need to make.

Create a review request sheet

Use task, equipment, measured detail, observed issue and question for review. A hypothetical entry could describe typing with a specific input device, the measured working surface and a question about an appropriate arrangement. Include the date and limitations of the observation. If you experience a health concern, get suitable professional advice instead of applying a generic adjustment from a blog. This worksheet does not diagnose discomfort or prescribe a personal setup.

Let the review guide the housing question

A clearer description may show that you need more information, another room or a professional evaluation before relying on the workspace. Costa Blanca Work helps frame practical work-and-living questions; Corablanca can discuss relevant household support. The responsible organisation and competent advisers address their own requirements. The payoff is a better factual brief, not a promise of productivity or comfort. You can explain what is known about the desk and what remains to be assessed.
